BACKGROUND

Founded in 1995, Dalton Associates is an organization that provides psychotherapy, mental health, and psychological services throughout the province of Ontario. Our mission is to provide mental health services in timely and affordable manner within the home communities of our clients, and assist our clients in the selection of mental health professionals appropriate to their specific needs, and with whom they feel safe. Over the course of our 20+ years, Dalton Associates has provided services to over 5,500 individuals, couples and families annually, serving children, adolescents, and adults struggling with a wide range of mental health and wellness challenges. Dalton Associates has five (5) overarching divisions within which we operate:

  • General Counselling (psychological and non-psychological mental health services)
  • Rehabilitation Services (MVA, WSIB, LTD, etc.)
  • Autism and Behavioural Services
  • Psychological Assessment Services (psychoeducational, psychovocational, etc.)
  • Corporate and Government Services (partnerships with organizations, corporations, government agencies and communities)

Dalton Associates offers our clinicians a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and peer support through regular supervision and consultation groups. We facilitate professional growth and practice expansion by providing relevant continuing education workshops and offering unique opportunities to work with marginalized populations, such as our fly-in-teams who support indigenous communities in Northern Ontario.

 

We have an established infrastructure to ensure seamless service delivery and ease of practice management for clinicians, featuring: a PHIPA compliant, electronic record keeping system; payment processing; and the support of a dedicated administrative team.

THE POSITION

Dalton Associates is seeking Psychologists or Psychological Associates registered for autonomous or supervised practice, with competency in any of the following:

  • Psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents
  • Rehabilitation Psychology (assessment, treatment and supervision of treatment)
  • Supervision of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) treatment for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Clinical Psychology
  • Counselling Psychology

This employment terms of this position are flexible, depending on the goals of the successful candidate(s), and may include:

  • Full or part-time hours
  • Independent contractor or employee status
  • Flexible start date

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing assessment and treatment services
  • Providing supervision to non-psychology registered Associates (i.e., Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Social Workers, etc.)
  • Responding to clinical and supervision needs within the practice, covering Ontario
  • Position would require working flexible hours contingent upon client needs and location
  • Performing other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered for autonomous or supervised practice, or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Travel is required. Therefore, applicants must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a personal/reliable vehicle
